Product Certification body to add confidence and rigour to established quality requirements.
HAZI is the entity responsible for revitalising and promoting the high-quality brands of the Basque Country through promoting their presence in local and international markets. It also performs monitoring and certification tasks for these brands.
High quality brands
HAZI provides administrative and technological support for the management systems of the Differentiated Quality Brands of the Basque Country, the Protected Designations of Origin (P.D.O) and Protected Geographic Indications (P.G.I) and the Eusko Label.
Euskadiko nekazaritzako elikagaien kalitate-marka nagusia da: 3.000 operadore baino gehiago, 19 produktu-familia, 30 urteko historia eta euskal gizarteak egiaztatutako aitorpena ditu.
Europar Batasuneko kalitate-ziurtagiriekin egiaztatutako eta aitortutako kalitatezko produktuak. Sei jatorri-deitura eta bi adierazpen geografiko babestu ditu, eta horiekin lankidetzan aritzen da, egiaztapena egiteaz gain.
HAZI also collaborates with Euskal Baserri, the collective brand that brings together small farmhouse productions, guaranteeing their origin and visibility in the market.
Certification
HAZI monitors and certifies the products under the Eusko Label, Euskal Baserri, the Designations of Origin of Txakoli from Álava, Bizkaia and Getaria and Euskal Sagardoa-Sidra Natural del País Vasco (Natural Cider of the Basque Country) and Integrated production.

HAZI is also the Verification Entity for Basque Country Integrated Production, an agricultural and/or food production system that advocates the greater use of natural resources and production mechanisms and facilitates the medium-term development of more sustainable agriculture.
HAZI is recognised as a Certifying Entity for Animal Welfare assessment protocols, working with the sector in programmes aimed at guaranteeing to the consumer that there is optimal animal welfare in our farms.
