Promotion of the positioning of high-quality brands.

HAZI is the entity responsible for revitalising and promoting the high-quality brands of the Basque Country through their certification and promoting their presence in local and international markets.

To achieve this, HAZI supports companies in finding new commercial channels, launching new high-quality products and planning different activities aimed at both reinforcing the economic promotion of companies that produce high quality food products and promoting the consumption of these products.

Product promotion

HAZI collaborates in publicising high-quality brands of food and beverages produced in the Basque Country, in promoting these products and their producers and in improving society’s awareness of these high-quality brands.

Food tastings

Running tasting sessions for these high-quality products at different well-attended events to promote an understanding of them among the people attending and raise awareness about their consumption.

Wine tasting programme

Initiative run by HAZI to promote the culture of wine and an awareness of the different characteristics of the wines with Designation of Origin: Rioja Alavesa and Txakoli (Basque white wine) from Álava, Bizkaia and Getaria. These can be supplemented with tastings of other certified quality or designation of origin products.

Kalitatea Topera

Programme of educational visits to farms and technology centres, in different formats and for different audiences. The Kalitatea Topera Ikastetxeak programme is aimed at students from Secondary Education, A-Levels and Training Cycles, whereas with Kalitatea Topera Adituak, the target audience is a broad group, including the future generation of professionals from the Basque Food Value Chain.

Internationalisation

Coordination and support for our agri-food industry in its processes of entering international markets, providing information, advice and funding.

Grouped trade fair participation

In collaboration with the Food Industry and Quality Directorate of the Basque Government, Annual Promotion Plans and the participation of interested operators in the Euskadi-Basque Country group stand are organised to promote our products at the main international agri-food fairs.

Trade missions

After conducting an analysis of the potential markets and customers that may be of greatest interest for our products, or at the request of those operating in the sector who are interested in a specific market, different trade missions, both incoming and outgoing, are organised.

Promotional activities

Planning and running of non-standardised marketing initiatives (promotions, one-off activities, visits, sponsorships, etc.) that aim to help with the commercial expansion of our operators, both locally and internationally.

Support

Work to support and provide specific services to companies in the sector in relation to the product and brand development process and in the implementation of marketing initiatives to promote these, through collaboration and the search for excellence.

Ardoa basque wine office

Basque Government project to protect and boost the international competitiveness of the Basque beverages industry (wine, txakoli, cider and craft beer). Its mission is to boost and promote both collective and individual brands forming part of the Basque beverage industrial sector.

Wineries and beverages

Within the Basque agri-food industry, the wine and beverages area is the main sub-sector with more than 400 companies, a growing international presence and enormous diversity, including companies producing wine, txakoli, cider, beer and spirits. HAZI offers these wineries support in their promotional and marketing work and in their internationalisation process.
