- Entrepreneurship
We are the people to help you if you have an idea, want to become an entrepreneur or need to improve your business.

In this way, HAZI contributes to generating and consolidating competitive and sustainable projects, companies and employment in the food and wood value chain and in the rural and coastal areas of the Basque Country, through four main areas of action:
- Coordination and support for business projects.
- Specialised training aimed at companies and entrepreneurs.
- Activation of the innovative potential of the chain and the environment.
- Help in defining financial support tools.

Sectoral entrepreneurship
Its purpose is to promote, revitalise and support the entrepreneurial culture in all links of the food and wood value chain (production, transformation, marketing and gastronomy).
A comprehensive and customised monitoring and support service, aimed at entrepreneurs who want to enter the primary sector for the first time.
Programme aimed at people who wish to get into farming and those responsible for farming companies who want to exit from this activity. The objective is to make it easier for young people to take over already established agricultural companies and in this way rejuvenate the sector and avoid these companies being closed down by their owners. The programme enhances the transfer of knowledge through 6-month shared management periods, supported by a multidisciplinary team that advises both the people wishing to enter the activity and those wishing to leave it.
The aim of these scholarships is to increase first-hand knowledge of the reality of the sector through stays of up to 6 months in representative companies, which helps people to understand the daily management of the activity. This is practical training that encourages the start-up of new companies through knowledge of a real situation.

Innovative technology-based and high potential entrepreneurship
We strongly promote disruptive entrepreneurial projects that represent a revolution or innovation in the food and wood value chain, as well as in the rural and coastal development of the Basque Country, providing investment opportunities linked to this entrepreneurial activity.
Comprehensive and customised support service for the development of new projects promoted by investors outside of the Basque Country. It is a support programme for the establishment and maintenance of investments that are technology based or have great potential.

Regional entrepreneurship
HAZI offers guidance and support services to entrepreneurial initiatives in rural and coastal areas in any production and economic sector, in collaboration with agents and institutions from the Basque entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Programme to promote an entrepreneurial culture through a multidisciplinary training path. Entrepreneurial Thursdays are also treated as a meeting place to create networks and form contacts between entrepreneurs who can share their experiences with each other when starting an activity in rural and coastal areas.

Hazilur
HAZI is responsible for managing HAZILUR, a financial tool – mainly equity loans – aimed at promoting business activities in the primary sector, the agri-food industry and the Basque rural and coastal environment.
This programme is promoted by the Basque Government, Laboral Kutxa and Federación de Cooperativas de Euskadi (Basque Federation of Cooperatives).
